Now available! Online Parent Mentor training!

Our vision is for all parents to have access to the support of a trained PIPPS Parent Mentor, helping them navigate the transition into parenthood. There are many ways our Parent Mentors can offer support to others, including by setting up F2F PIPPS groups in your local community. We aim to have PIPPS groups available to anyone, operating just about everywhere. To achieve this, we need trained Parent Mentors.

The first step to becoming a Parent Mentor is to join the PIPPS portal and familiarize yourself with the wealth of content available there. Once you have access to the PIPPS portal, you will be able to select the Parent Mentor training package.

Our Parent Mentor training has been broken down in to small chunks, so busy parents can work their way through, bit by bit as time allows. There are three major sections, each divided into small chapters:

  1. Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC) for parents
  2. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in the perinatal period
  3. Peer Support in the perinatal period

On successful completion of the training, you will receive a Parent Mentor Certificate, and may have the opportunity to run your very own PIPPS Group!
