Dr Marlo Roberts studied postgraduate medicine at the University of Queensland, graduating in 2008, and completed her internship at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. She then moved to Melbourne, completed her General Practice training and gained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2013.
Marlo also has a Diploma in Child Health from University of Sydney, and has special interest in paediatrics, mental health, women’s health and breastfeeding medicine. She is accredited as a Shared Care provider for many of the obstetric hospitals in Melbourne. Marlo has completed training in Neuroprotective Developmental Care of the Infant through the Possums Clinic, becoming accredited in 2019. Marlo is also currently working toward becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant to further her skills in supporting women through their breastfeeding journey. Marlo believes that caring for the whole family is a special and unique privilege of being a General Practitioner, and she especially enjoys being able to support families in the early years after bringing home a new baby, a period which often can be as challenging as it is rewarding.
