Dr Melody Jackson is a GP/Lactation Consultant based in Bella Vista, Sydney. She completed her medical degree at University of Notre Dame, Sydney, before working at Westmead Public Hospital, where she developed a keen interest in women’s health, mental health, and antenatal and postnatal care of both mothers and babies. She completed the Diploma of Child Health and the Diploma of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy during these years and enjoys looking after a wide range of general practice presentations. After a challenging time breastfeeding her own son, Melody became passionate about helping other women through this time of enormous change. She completed her training to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2019. She also gained accreditation in Neuroprotective Developmental Care of the Newborn under Dr Pamela Douglas from the Possums Clinic in Queensland in March 2019. She is happy to address any concerns that you have about any aspect of life with a new little family member and is passionate about supporting families through these early years and beyond. Melody works in her private clinic, Breastfeeding & Beyond, at Norwest Private Hospital in Bella Vista and also at Cranebrook (Sydney). She is also an Adjunct Clinical Lecturer at the University of Notre Dame School of Medicine. Please see the website for further details.
